When planning your wedding, one of the most important considerations to make involves choosing a wedding photographer. Choosing the right wedding photographer means that you will have stunning wedding photographs to share with friends and family, and to cherish forever.

– When considering a photographer, make sure that you examine samples of the photographer’s work.

– When considering a photography company, make sure that you look at sample photographs for each photographer that works for the company. Otherwise, you may sample photographs by a completely different photographer than who will be taking your wedding photos!

– When you do settle upon a potential wedding photographer and assistant, meet up with them so that you can talk about the wedding. The perfect wedding photographer will make suggestions, but will not have an aversion to letting you run your own wedding. Make sure to ask as many questions as you can, so that you really know and understand the person that you are hiring.

– Make sure that you have a thorough understanding of exactly how you will be charged. Many wedding photographers use overtime as a way to make a lot of their income.

– Look for a wedding photography company that offers package deals so that you will better understand how you will be charged for your wedding. If you do not feel comfortable with the pricing structure explained to you when speaking to a particular company, then you will probably not feel comfortable with the final bill either. Compare prices for enlargements and reprints to make sure that you are getting a good deal.

– Make sure that a signed contract will be involved. Read the contract carefully and make sure that you understand it before signing on the dotted line. You may also want to compare that contract to the contracts for other companies to make sure that what you are signing is legitimate.

– Make sure that you understand how long it will take to get the finished product, as some photography companies can promise delivery much quicker than others.

– You may also want to look into having your wedding video-taped professionally before you choose a specific photographer. Professional wedding videos can easily look and sound just like a movie would, and sometimes the cost is much less than what you will shell out for photography. Once you have seen some demos, it may be worthwhile to work this into your budget.
